Japanese Room
Modeled in XSI ~ UV, Lighting, and Rendered in Maya ~ Textures in Photoshop CS
This room is one of the projects featured in my first demo reel. The purpose/goal was to create a hyper-real room with strong lighting and texturing. All models in these images were designed and created by me, Mariana Foster. I used some clip art from a royalty free book by Dover for my screens, but I modified them and did tweaking. The other textures were mostly hand painted with references. The textures include repeating textures, color maps, diffuse/ambient maps, incandescence maps, and translucency maps. |

The focus of this project was setting a mood and creating a well modeled and textured environment. I had help developing the night lighting from Brent O'Gara and help developing the day lighting and surfacing from Barbara Meyers. |
